ELVIN MELVIN

Elvin Melvin is Emma’s best friend, he is Deaf and is a native

sign language user, his primary language is Auslan.

Elvin loves to dance, especially ballet and enjoys twirling

alongside Emma as they boogie through each day. Elvin is

cautious and tends to question Emma’s optimistic ideas but

provides another unique perspective to their problem solving

process. This is because he sees many other details that

can be easily missed due to his heightened powers of visual

observation.

Even though at times he may be shy, his soft nature is

comforting to Emma, their friends, the animals and the viewer.

He is the best friend you always wanted.

Loves: Mindful moments, sitting in the garden on his own

taking photos of the animals around him and travelling on the

Butterfly Bus.
